Bittersweet chocolate truffles and confections

Bittersweet Confections is a chocolate truffle company that also supplies upscale catering to the Quincy, Illinois region.

Chef Michael Mitchell got the idea for his chocolates when a cigar and a bar of chocolate shared the same space in a sock drawer. Strangely, the half smoked cigar infused the chocolate with its aroma and gave it an amazing flavor.

Michael had made his truffles for various restaurants and employers before deciding to create his own line of confections. His desire for comfort foods comes in contact with his love for the culinary arts.

The chef claims to be a hardworking family man first and foremost, but makes time from the daily grind to experiment with new flavors and infusions for his line of “less talk, more action” chocolate truffles.
